Height first
Start with the Child’s Current Height
Age labels are only a rough guide. Height and garment measurements are usually more useful because children of the same age can have very different proportions.
- Record current height.
- Measure chest around the body.
- Check shirt length.
- Check shorts length for full kits.
Set contents
Confirm What the Kids Product Includes
Some youth products include a shirt and shorts, while others may be shirt-only. The product page should state the set contents clearly.
Do not assume socks or shorts are included unless the product description confirms them.
Growth allowance
Allow Room Without Oversizing Too Far
A small amount of room may help the kit last longer, but excessive size can make the shoulders, sleeves and shorts uncomfortable.
- Choose a comfortable chest allowance.
- Check the garment length.
- Consider the season of use.
- Avoid using age alone.
Customization
Confirm the Name Before Production
Kids kits are often customized as gifts. Recheck spelling, number, player name and patch choices before completing the order.
- Check capitalization.
- Check the shirt number.
- Confirm whether the print is club or national-team style.
- Remember customized items may have different return rules.
